How My Journey Shapes My Work

As the Ohio-born daughter of an Ivorian father and an African-American mother, my journey to uncover my identity has been a dynamic process. Growing up in a predominantly white city, I often experienced feelings of "otherness," which made it difficult to find my place. Over time, I learned to embrace the richness of my cultures and backgrounds, and now I help others walk in that same authenticity. I believe that this journey of self-discovery is deeply healing, and I want to share that experience with those navigating similar challenges.

Coming from a family of high achievers, I felt the pressure to follow traditional paths, like medicine, but it didn’t align with my passion. After soul-searching, I found my true calling in mental health, especially in supporting the emotional well-being of families and couples. My desire to help others heal and foster healthier relationships led me to the field of therapy, where I focus on guiding couples and individuals in building stronger, more connected lives.

How I Support Your Healing Journey

I believe that while we live in a society focused on individuality, we are shaped by our communities and relationships. Whether you’re navigating life as an individual or working through challenges as a couple, I help you understand how your experiences and backgrounds influence your relationships. My role is to guide you in putting the pieces together so you can live a life that feels abundant, connected, and true to who you are.

For couples, I help address past hurts and teach you how to navigate conflict with openness and understanding. Being in an interracial and intercultural marriage myself, I understand the complexities of blending different cultural experiences. I guide couples in honoring these differences while fostering a strong, loving connection that promotes growth and mutual respect.
